One important specialization in this area is clinical psychology. Our MA Program in Clinical Psychology was founded in 2005 with the aim of contributing to this field by educating and training new specialists. Focused only on the field of "Adult" for the first seven years, our program has then become a comprehensive program consisting of three tracks with the opening of "Child-Adolescent"  and "Couple-FamilyTherapy" tracks in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

The aim of the Program is to educate/train ethically and socially responsible specialists who are equipped with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are required to function as a clinical psychologist. Graduates of this program will obtain a diploma of MA in Clinical Psychology and will acquire a strong basis in the following areas:

  • Psychotherapeutic relationship and clinical interview techniques
  • Professional ethics
  • Psychopathological (diagnostic) assessment
  • Psychological assessment (testing): Cognitive and personality dimensions
  • Psychotherapy (psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, systemic and group)
  • Research Methods

To develop the necessary clinical skills and abilities, students will be trained through clinical practice under close supervision.

In addition, the Program requires the students to conduct a scientific research study and to produce an MA thesis or MA project of publishable quality.
